hello, it's been a long time i have post here...
during my covid force vacation i started soldering again and bought a phono pre.
was wandering if there is any substitute for the three 12AY7/6072 tube in this design?
6N4P
6J32P (6Ж32П 6ZH32P EF86 6267)
thanks

no luck finding that number on ebay
6Н4П should be fine... check heater connection on the pcb as this is different.
the more choice the merrier

i get beautiful music from my vinyl player for about 20 second when i unplug the phono preamp ac plug (the time to discharge the capacitor)
if its plug i get a huge dc hum???
from the phono preamp alone plug to my sound system....
those it means that i need to seperate the supply from the phono pcb (in a different enclosure) ?
a that point its a paper holder.

Ho ho, not too negative! You have a ground problem. Doing PE and Audio GND correctly is a study in itself in the tube world as it is often done wrong. So let's do it correct. PE should be connected to the casing directly but I think it is connected like that. That leaves the question where Audio GND is connected to?
BTW you invented the term "DC hum" but that does not exist.

dc hum or not, i put a 100 uf electrolytic capacitor on the signal output to ground for fun and i got the sound of silence in the speakers (no music and no hum)
Smart test but what is the purpose? 🙂
Anyway do you have a full schematic for the device with all the boards? Especially the PSU boards should be examined.
* Not meant negatively but the quality of the soldering is substandard and I guess it is lead-free solder that is used?

Ok, the other one works but this one does not. Smart test again 🙂 So you made a mistake somewhere in THIS one. I did not ask for the results, I asked the complete schematics because this device built by you has an issue. If you can not give technical information then good luck with finding the error.
BTW Leaded solder would make joints way better than what they are now.

Not at all. If I would have to use lead free stuff I would quit the hobby as it is garbage and makes unreliable joints. For best results leaded solder is the right stuff.
BTW are you sure you did not connect Audio GND to chassis somewhere other than via the 10 Ohm resistor?
