TPA3118 12v vs TPA3116D2 24v power supply

Hi,

I am building a webradio with a 20w mono speaker. My idea is use a TPA3118 or a TPA3116D2 (mono).
I don't need a lot of power,... is better to use the TPA3118 with a 12v power supply or directly go to a TPA3116 with a 24v?

SmartRadio - Esp32 analog webradio with MQTT client embedded - Hackster.io

TPA3118 works at low at 8v, so 12v would be enough.... it isn't?

Please could you give me your advice?

Thank you

Both TPA3118D2 and TPA3116D2 can, as I recall, function with a supply voltages down to 5V. In fact it is the same chip inside. TPA3118 with cooling downwards, the TPA3116 with cooling upwards.
Both ICs are as such stereo but can be connected in PBTL-configuration for mono. It is not that TPA3118 is mono for 12V supply and TPA3116 stereo for 24V supply.
12V supply is fine for both and with your moderate power needs. Do you need stereo or mono, you use either BTL or PBTL -coupling.
