Hey all, new here and looking for some help!
I have an older Philips CD880 that I purchased new. It been sitting in its box for the last probably 10yrs (I know, I know). Anyway, I recently decided to install it in my second system and the tray won't close. I took it apart and found the issue.. its a switch. There are two; one for open and one for close and the one for close is broken.
I've found the part number and would be willing to buy a whole tray assembly however I cant even find that. The part number from the Philips service manual is #4822 276 11277
Any hints or clues on where I may find one?

Thanks Lampie519, yes the plastic lever is broken. I can only assume that the locks for the transport were not in place last time we moved house so totally my own doing. Anyway, I found another switch locally that I should be able to Macgyver in

If your McGiver didn't work, I might be able to help you depending on how hard it is to take the switch out. I have a CD880 that I bought years ago and was badly damaged during shipping. The back cover was crushed and the PS board was broken. I kept it as a parts unit.
