I am a rip off merchant !

Sold a copy of my PCB design software on ebay.
Next day I get a phone call saying I am a rip off merchant as the software just supplies basic libraries and doesn't have a facility for an A3 sheet.

Well I never said it did in the ebay advert ! Clearly says basic libraries.

After a brief discussion it seems he has Eagle system files and wants to design 11 pcb's each with about 130 components on it.

My first response was why spend £7 on some PCBCAD software when Eagle is $332 ! He just said he didnt expect it to be as good as Eagle.
I tried to explain the software doesnt need sheets as you just input schematic on one huge sheet then print out blocks to the printer. Thats worked for me for many years. He didnt want to know.

He was clearly expecting a Rolls Royce for Mondeo money.

Had hundreds of satisfied customers over 10 years.

So I have added in A1 to A6 sheets anyway about an hours work.

Look on the bright side there are folks out there actually more ignorant, rude and just plain offensive than some of the folks who have participated here where you spend some of your time.

The most interesting scam I found was someone on eBay who bought a dozen cheap items to get a five star rating, then using that offered about 100 items for sale of valuable items ending at the same time. Pretty sure the money would all be gone before anyone noticed nothing shipped. I did notify eBay when I saw the sale postings, they cancelled them all and actually sent me a "Thank-You!"

So to me the moral of your tale is I should use your software and then complain to get you to personalize it for me.

What is most annoying is someone people just wont accept my help.
I offered a resolution of adding in what he wanted but he didnt want to know.

I spotted someone from China selling a PC USB scope for £12.99.
The same item was being sold my a few others for £50 so I alerted ebay.
I was ignored.
In the next 3 weeks they went on to sell 311 units.
Then I noticed the negs for none delivery coming in.
When it got to 15 ebay closed him down.

A couple of weeks later the same item came up, same price but different user id.
Same routine.

I guess its all part of ebay, if you sell a lot then statistics suggest you will get one "awkward" customer now and then.

Had one man buy £50 worth of audio equipment from me.
He decided he didnt like it so I got him to send it back.
For some strange reason he sent back a lump of wood with nails in it !
So he kept items, got refunded and left me negative feedback.
As the nails were meant to harm I got in touch with the police.
They went to see him.
His wife said she had sent it so he got off free.
She got a formal warning.
