I got one for ya.
Appears this thing had a nuclear meltdown of some sorts, and I have no idea what would even cause this amount of damage.
Even more importantly, is it even fixable? anyone have any clear pictures/schematics of the burned section in the TL494 circuit?
it appears on first glance it went into a serious oscillation before it had the meltdown. the Zobel filter is burned. Also, I noticed the transistors have unsoldered themselves from the heatsink indicating this thing got SUPER hot... like firecracker hot.
Pictures are too big to attach them here, so I threw them on Google Drive:

thoughts?

What's the PC# on the board?
The transistors that desoldered themselves may not have had their section of the MEHSA strip thermally mated to the sink.
The PS failure was likely due to the cap failing. Most of it can likely be cleaned up.

well all the mosfets on the one side are shorted. well, most of them.
the transistor unsoldered itself, but the MEHSA is firmly attached and torqued to the heatsink.

Thanks!
What would have caused that section to catch on fire like that? cap exploded, the trace to the TL494 is dark/burned, etc...
out of all these Rockfords I have seen, I havent seen it this bad.

The electrolyte from a failing cap could have been why that section looks so bad. You'll have to clean it thoroughly to see what the total damage it.
