This is someone’s mod I believe and I don’t think Apogee came with these but might be wrong
They will accept banana plugs
I did see this same bp in ASR in a different application

They look similar to what Fisher used on the back of their amps in the 80's. Put the wire in the back, twist 1/4 turn and they clamped the wire. Can't seem to locate anything nowadays like that. At least not right away.
EDIT: I'm wrong, it must have been another amp from my past, not the Fisher.

I have searched and can’t locate these.
Do you know who sells them ?
Some of the similiar styles are over priced IMO and hopefully these are more
reasonable ?
The original type is from a german manufacturer called Ruhstrat (it's the PR 063 style):
https://www.ruhstrat.eu/application/files/5114/9060/0681/Klemmen-Katalog_002.pdf
Standard material is brass - exception is the type 047 - but over the years different types were introduced by different companies, sometimes just with a extra layer of anodized copper but presumably sometimes made from a copper rod. Surely it depends on the lot count and a manufacturer like Mundorf exporting to other countries has to account for extra margins in the distribution chain.
So basically, it's not the plastic, but the non-standard material used for the special version.
Looks like Vampire has some nice ones without the sky high prices although no banana style like the Ruhstrats
Thanx for the link Jakob

Hi David,
I got these for an amp rebuild I am busy with. Not too expensive and quality is quite acceptable. 4pcs Speaker Terminals Copper Binding Post 4mm Banana Jack Audio connector 32mm | eBay
Also got some rhodium plated ones from this seller (audiophileseller on eBay), but they are no longer available. There are many other choices here though.
Both take spades and banana plugs.
Regards, Kevin

edit: in fact they are available at jaycar here in aus. 50A Jumbo Binding Post - Red | Jaycar Electronics
Though the pic shows the moulding is maybe not particularly high quality...
Tony.

Ferret , I have used this style many times on amps as well as speakers but they are not very good at getting a firm grip unless you use the cable lug to torque it down..,.BTDT
Many versions and great deal however
Bingo Wintermute, decent price.
No long speaker post versions only amp chassis.
Jaycar US does not stock these for some reason

I've always liked these 30A, no rotation possible, and direct soldering to the post.

Excellent quality posts no issue other than having a socket to tighten them and then after a while they get beat up looking.
That’s a good point about the one pc. body holding each polarity while tightening
Seperate ones don’t last as long and come loose with continued torquing.

Originally I thought you might have these. Wire in the back and 1/4 turn locked it in place. That's not the case I am guessing? If you need longer ones, how about these?I have searched and can’t locate these.
