OK so thanks to the gentle hands of DPD - this has been returned non-working after selling. I've tested it and there is power to the board but nothing from the speaker outputs. As my technical knowledge finishes there and my friend who built it hasn't the time to look at it I'm offering this for sale as spares or repair. Personally I think it's probably the cable harness so someone could potentially fix it.
This is the stereo NC500 version and puts out an extraordinary amount of clean power (when it works!) I have a custom set of cables made for use with a Naim Pre Amp to the XLR inputs on the Hypex and these are included.
Asking £350 to recoup the cost of the case and the custom XLR to DIN cable (included) so the Hypex module is therefore gratis.
Specs:
Power (2Ω) 2X 450W
Power (4Ω) 2x 500W
Power (8Ω) 2x 350W
Channels 2
Weight 1055g
Dimensions mm 230 x 115 x 47
Mains voltage input 230V / 115V
Automatic input voltage selection

Maybe. Another possibility is the buyer switched a working module for a non working.
They are identical to the ones above, there is no cosmetic damage or damage to any of the cables of any kind. I can pop the lid and take some more of them but there isn't any difference.
Is you AMPon working correctly? If it is grounded and will stay in mute/standby.
Also, have you tried to Fault reset the modules? The NC400 has those five pins in a header between the coil and main big header...
Putting 3vdc across two of those pins (dont remember which ones) resets the major fault in the modules - dont know if the nc500 has that ability. I used two AA batteries. I had to try four different battery pairing to get the exact reset voltage (either 3vdc exactly, or it had to be just under 3vdc for like 5 seconds). After reset, the LEDs all lit up like they were supposed to...do your LEDs light up?
I revived a dead NC400 once that way.
The Hypex people should be able to tell you exactly what to do...have you tried calling them? They are awesome to work with. Jos and Niels at Hypex totally Rock!

Interesting. I doubt its the cables but you could always check the connections with a multimeter / beeper or by an affordable cable set from Ghentaudio. Or if you have access to another module, swap that out for a test. I think an NC252MP will work with the same harness.
If it's not the cables, John's info about stored faults is interesting. Again, if it's not that, my money is on mechanical shock damage. There are heavy components on that board. With enough of a g-shock, this could have caused hair cracks in the pcb tracks which are almost impossible to find and repair on a board this densely populated.

Thanks both for the replies. I've reached out to Hypex who are happy to run a diagnostic if I ship tit to them so i'm going to do that!
