impressive mass loaded BLH cabinet and the Cole selection sounds very good all around.

Here's something easy to try. Make this lens from foamboard, space so the cone can't hit it , then listen.
Print the template size so the driver frame is where there the blue circle sets

Freddi, that 'mask' is for big cones, I guess that at JBL is made for correcting the DI of big woofers, and a 3" cone doesn't suffer from bad DI at crossover freq...it isn't even crossed to anything!

I know a cardboard Karlson cavity- slot works with a rising response 3" - guess that Fostex does not exhibit the rise like what I tried. Sorry for the poor advice. Furthermore, as I've not worked with foamboard, that may be too acoustically transparent for slot lens work (?)
