I want to get 50 watts or so per channel.
You´ll have to take your speaker impedance into account if you wanna reach 50W.
A power supply of +-32V gets you 50W into 8Ohms but that same supply voltage won´t work very well for 4Ohm speakers.

A good "middle of the road" supply would be +-27V. (transformer with 2x18VAC)
That would be ~40W into 8Ohms and almost 70W into 4Ohms.
