Im interested in making a power distribution box but was wondering how others are creating the holes in the back of the case for recepticles? Is there a knock out tool of some sort or is this a matter of getting them lazer cut? Any help would be great. thanks!
If you're talking about the IEC connector found on most gear, computers, etc - Here's a punch for it 27x20.5mm Punch Set [pd-2720] - $90.00 : Auber Instruments, Inc., Temperature control solutions for home and industry
Personally, I just use a cutting disc on my Dremel.

How comes that my 1st thoughts when reading this thread title were that it is going to be just another Covid 19 discussion?

I use Qmax cutters for valve holders, IEC connector etc. One pilot hole and a metal punch makes a good job of any hole up to 1.5mm steel or 2.5mm aluminium.

QMax type cutters are great.
I often use a step drill... and keep several sizes on hand so as to cover from about 6-40mm. A great drill type for sheet metal.

I used step drills until I got something very similar to this: https://www.amazon.ca/IBOSAD-Slug-B...1&keywords=IBOSAD&qid=1604143175&s=hi&sr=1-12
Now I use impact to make holes in much less time with much less filings to clean up.
