Looking for SQ 6x9

Does anyone make a good SQ 6x9?

Something with low Le for better linearity leading in to the crossover, moderate Qms for use in front doors without having to build a chamber behind the speaker and enough power handling and efficiency to keep up with a JL Audio 300/2.

I'm not above making a plate for one of the good component sets and using Morel, Vifa or even some of the really nice PE Dayton drivers, just wondering if car audio has gone the way of the dinosaurs with all the Class D amps now days.

My shortlist of contenders is down to:
HAT Unity (not heard and can't find local)
HAT Imagine (have heard but on a bagger)
Morel Tempo (going to demo)
Audiofrog GS (have heard in a $$$ SQ install)
Or making a plate and using a Dayton or Morel 7" midbass (not sure I want to put this much time into it...)

PE had some 6" PA165-8 drivers on restock for $10/ea so I've got 4 otw and going to run them in parallel in front and rear doors simultaneously.
At least until I can compare the 6x9 contenders in person.

So the PE drivers were not a good match - too sensitive. No matter how I set levels or dsp as soon as I would pull out on the highway or changed volume it was bad. I could get them to sound very "accurate" at one volume setting in the driveway but then they'd be too loud on the road. Tried setting them up at the volume for the road and they were drowned out at lower volumes by the sub and tweeters. After extensive testing with REW I'm thinking that having them in both front and rear doors was causing some sort of comb filtering or phasing issue cause there were huge differences in the near field vs listening position response plots. Major midbass suckout as well. In the end, even after disconnecting the back doors and just running the fronts (which was WAY better) I simply didn't care for the forward in your face sound that these were producing.
So now I'm waiting on the Morel Tempo Components to arrive and we'll see how that turns out.
If anybody is looking for a midbass that can really crank out the volume with minimal power these would do the trick. Might be great for fairings on a Harley!
