I am building a simple circuit. It were will have 2 small diodes , 1 resistor and a small power rail. Would g10 epoxy board be overkill? I want to make the board 1”x2” approximately. I want it to be a small point to point board. I would think 1/16” would be sufficient? I would like to use small turret lugs that would fit snug. Can anyone help with where to get these things?
Turret boards are mostly sold by guitar amplifier parts dealers these days.

It is also possible to just use perf board, without any turrets.
That's how most prototypes were built, before pcbs were common and cheap.
Higher density is possible without turrets also.

+1 for prototype board / vector board / Vero board. You can find a bunch in many sizes on Amazon/eBay/etc.
I like the 4x6 cm size for small circuits. You can always cut them smaller with a hacksaw.

Go to the custom kitchen shop, get a sample of Formica or similar countertop laminate- they are often about 1"x2". Lay out your parts, drill holes, insert, twist leads together on back, jumpers as needed.
