Some weeks ago, I received this miniature FM transmitter:
I didn't order it, and I didn't discuss the subject with other members.
A number of members have my private address, but nobody sent me an explanation.
I sometimes order goods from Banggood, but I didn't order anything for quite a time, and I never ordered this.
I do not know what I am supposed to do with this module. Test it? What parameters?

I sent it so you can test the denoizator 😉
No maybe you can find out the seller and maybe they sent it for something you did order a long time ago. Or it was a gift hinting that you should start your own radiostation.

I received an un ordered item once, tracked down the seller who discovered he’d put the wrong address. After quoting him for return postage to China we agreed to give up on it.
OK, mystery solved: Daniel sent it to me for evaluation, but I missed his message in the huge heap I had to process when I was finally released from the hospital
Preliminary findings: it is an amazing little piece of kit. Audio, MPX and HF performances are excellent, and it is packed with features.
It could not quite serve as an exciter for a broadcast-grade FM transmitter, but it is very close.
It is perfect for a domestic use though

Nice! Thanks for the info. And thanks to Daniel for finding it.
EDIT: I see several on eBay (cheap!) but they don't seem to have a crystal like yours. They do offer USB audio input, which is kinda cool.
What did you do about an antenna?

I used a ~5cm piece of wire. What did you do about an antenna?
Two caveats: the transmitter includes a built-in bass boost, and since everything is done digitally, with no analogue filtering, the out of band noise is significant.
That is problematic if you also want to also listen to regular FM stations
Is this a spy device? I see an electrete microphone capsule next to the input jack...
Best regards!
Ah, too bad. Something like that would be handy. That is problematic if you also want to also listen to regular FM stations
