Psvane KT88 Hi-Fi series

I have never used any KT88 other than JJ.
I am pleased with how they sound, and with their reliability.
I get my JJ tubes from eurotubes.com. They do extensive retesting of the tubes after they come from the factory.
Works for me; why try anything else?

Psvane, who can afford to purchase them?

Want good sound from a KT88?
Then make sure it is used in an amplifier that has a good circuit design, and good parts.

And, I love my JJ KT66 tubes too.

The above comments are all just my personal observations and my personal opinions.

I was in Indonesia over 40 years ago.
Very interesting country.

If you have a schematic of your amplifier, I will do my best to comment on it.
Happy Listening!

Thanks for the reply 6A3summer. The hi fi series are the budget once & not the tii version.
Hence seaking for opinions. Amps of mine are Prima luna Dialogue 7, have used stock tubes but thye're getting old so am looking for good replacements.
40 years ago !!!!! guess Indonesia has made some progress since.

Cheers

JonSnell Electronic,

Huh?

Where did you hear that any JJ tubes are produced by Svetlana?
Was that something that happened 25 or 30 years ago?
Are those new old stock JJ tubes?

As far as I know, Real JJ tubes are produced in Slovakia.

Is there another company that is living off of the JJ name, and rebranding Svetlana tubes with the JJ logo?

Eurotubes.com personnel in the US have made several trips to the JJ factories.

I have been to Eurotubes warehouse and store several times.
I have seen their specialized test equipment that they use to retest the tubes when they come to Eurotubes from JJ in Slovakia.
I also know a couple of the designers of their specialized test equipment; and they also use other well known tube testers in addition to their proprietary test equipment.

I always purchase KT88/6550 from Slovak/Russia. They are branded Svetlana and are very rugged and reliable. Stocks are drying up fast but they are worth it.
Some JJs are Svetlana and good quality, others are horrible Chinesium bottles that don't make the grade.
That is a misunderstanding. JJ has no reason to rebrand tubes.
JJ is a EU company, it has nothing to do with russia .
