Is there an easy way to remove the pre-printed Volume, Headphone and Power black labels on the front panel of the TU-8600? With just three things on the panel, I don’t need the reminder, and all the rest of my equipment is silver with either no labels or very light white labels.
Before I try to soak, scrap or heat the printing off, does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks, Dave

I have not tried (nor intend to try) this on a TU86000, but perhaps rubbing using
a sugar cube? I've successfully done that on other cases.

I'm afraid to make it look bad. I'm going to send a note to Japan and see if they have any unmarked panels sitting around.
Since you want a blank panel with a few holes, it might be easier to design another panel yourself,
and have it laser cut for you, if you can lay out .dxf files. Silver (natural) would be no problem,
but natural aluminum would not look the same as an anodized aluminum surface would.
Too bad you can't just flip the regular panel over and use the back as the front. Or maybe you can?

That's an interesting idea. Unlike the TU-8200, the front panel is flat. So with some careful measurements you could make a new one.
All of my components and equipment rack are black. The only thing silver was the front panel of my TU-8600S. Since I'm pretty careful with my amp, I decided to try black adhesive paper. It's not permanent, so I can revert to the original look if I want.

It wasn't hard to apply. I really like the look of an all black amp.
