My other sources (CD, DAC, Bluetooth, etc) all have an output of 2v
Should I set the gain of the phono stage to 2v to match the other devices?
I have a MM Phono cartridge with 5.5mv output (Ortofon 2M Blue).
To match the other devices (2v) I would want 51 db of gain.
Thoughts?

You could have overload problems with that much gain for a mm cartridge.
Few mm phono circuits will have low noise and accurate RIAA with that much gain.
The 5.5mV is not a peak level, but rather at a moderate modulation output level.
Peak levels could be tens of mV higher. There's no real need to match the playback
phono level to CD playback in most cases.
