I believe in chapter 2 of the Morgan Jones book there is an example of a cascode constant curent sink using 3 resistors and 2 dn2540 fets. Does anyone have a schematic of this or another example of a cascode current sink ?
Beware to use DN2540 as "upper" FET over 250-300V B+.
I lost a bunch at about 350-400V B+, so I use exclusively 1kV FETs (for example IXTP01N100D).

Brik, thanks just what I was looking for. By the way I found this device that may be useful in high power aplications. You can't tell from the published curves but at lower currents it makes a good ccs with just a source resistor.
