Confused by Icepower 50ASX2BTL input diagram, balanced?

Hello,

I am a little confused by the 50ASX2BTL input diagram, I thought this amplifier board had a balanced input.

My plan was to go from the TRS out on my Focusrite Scarlett Solo gen. 3 to the 50ASX2BTL, but the diagram makes it look like you just tie both inputs on the 50ASX2BTL to a single output on "preamp" like you would with an RCA.

Am I reading this wrong?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you,

David.

Need to light this thread back up again. I'm building some monoblocks with the Ghent audio MXR case for this 50asx2btl amp. It has a selector on it for switching between the RCA and the XLR on the back.

When this amp is wired for RCA input, where do the leads go? I imagine just wiring to input 1 and ground or input 2 and ground would work, but does this only drive half the amp?

No it will drive both amps in phase and nothing comes out
You need an inverter additionally.
With XLR it will work, if the input is really balanced, only impedance balanced will output half voltage only,
So also in this case you need the external inverter
