When you ask this sort of question, you need to note what's being used for the drive circuit between the driver IC and the FETs.
The TL598 may be OK driving the 3205s.
Does the amp have 1 gate resistor per FET or one FET for each bank?

Replace with 47 ohms.
Make sure that the 598 doesn't heat up and confirm that there is no increased current draw /FET heating at full duty cycle at idle.
The transformer's tape wrap looks like there may have been some excessive heat. The transformer may have been damaged.
