Fenner drivers FE-041 B

I've had these drivers in a closet for a long time and thought I should do something with them. But I can't find any data for them except what's printed on the back. 80W, 4 Ohm and 75-22000 Hz. I would appreciate if I could get some more data.

Being as i can't seem to find much about these...are they indeed rather small?, as in a "four inch" driver?
Do you still have the matching tiny tweeter that goes with them?

Aside from being in a car-door as designed, they can work just fine in a home application. Typically an enclosure winds up being an "Aperiodic" design...essentially a "leaky sealed enclosure".
If it is a four-inch as I'd guess & you do have the tweeter & capacitor(cross-over) that go together...build an enclosure some 200mm wide by 250mm deep, 300mm high...bore a 40mm hole in the back...find two old pillows & put the stuffing inside...
Mount the tweeter just above the woofer, as close as possible...locate the drivers in an aesthetically pleasing look.... This will probably work just fine.

Thanks Rick!
Sadly I don't have the tweeters any more. I think they went to the scrap yard together with the car.
But I will test to build the box without them and hear how it sounds. Or should I do another design because I don't have the tweeters?

A straight-forward approach for your missing tweeters would be the acquisition of a pair of Piezo-electric tweeters. As you may know, these tweeters are crystalline in nature, are very cheap... are used virtually everywhere in inexpensive two-way systems. The wildcard is the unknown sensitivity of your woofer, we can guess, all things considered, it is likely rather "insensitive" at about 88 decibels with one watt of power, or as commonly written, 88Db@1W .
Amongst being very cheap, these tweeters do not require a crossover...they are unfortunately panned by audio "audiophiles" & enthusiasts.

Just my two-cents, hope it helps...
