Hypex NC122MP Build

I hesitate to call this a 'build' since it's really just putting a module in a box, but wanted to let people know that this this little Hammond enclosure for $20 fits this unit quite nicely.

It could use some ventilation holes at the top, but other than that works great. I opted to temporarily stand off the lid just a bit to let some heat escape as necessary, but will probably drill out a few 2" holes and put a fan grill when I have a chance.

The timer relay for the remote switch was probably unnecessary, but I had one laying around, so I just used that. I used an m8 3-pin connector and cable like this McMaster-Carr for the remote cable and connector. Again, not the cheapest or most obvious choice, but I had some laying around.

Opted to use a switch between XLR and rca with a resistor and cap as noted in hypex application note about the pin 1 problem.

Anyway, the whole thing cost barely $200. Haven't done any critical listening just yet, but overall a simple little project if you don't mind drilling some holes and making a few connections.

Re-reading the license agreement, I see my above post was in poor judgement, and even a small order would be in violation of the oem agreement. This was for a prototype for a larger system, and in retrospect should not have been publicized until it is fully commercialized.
