Back around 1968 in the midst of the sudden blues craze I got my first John Mayall album to 'see if these guys were any good.' What struck me most was the guitar. Mayall's liner notes revealed that Peter had replaced Clapton, who'd left to form Cream, and he seemed somewhat dismissive of Green. I thought he sounded wonderful. RIP Peter.
RIP The Green God, you will go down in history as one of the greats. A great musician and great leader.
Is he now the second Mac member to leave us after Danny Kirwin a couple years ago?

Rest in Peace Peter.
An always present part of the soundtrack to mine, and my friends formative years.

A good reason for me to break open a bottle of red wine and plop Fleetwood's "Rumors" album on...
wot, PG was long gone by then. Why not put on something like Then Play On?
The Green God has so much to offer even if not in the traditional limelight.

This is very sad. Peter was one of the reasons I started to learn the guitar. One of the true greats.

The Rumors album is the closest thing I've got, being from Fleetwood Mac and all.
I'm a sucker for Stevie Nicks' voice.
Got her Greatest Hits album too.
This pop music album has nothing to do at all with Peter Green. It even has nothing to do with the real Fleetwood Mac.A good reason for me to break open a bottle of red wine and plop Fleetwood's "Rumors" album on...
R.I.P., Peter Green! Hopefully out there in heaven you'll join Danny Kirwan who passed two years ahead of you to play good blues-inspired music again.
Best regards!
I never implied that it did have anything to do with Green's work.
However, you must have missed my previous posting regarding Fleetwood Mac, or somehow misunderstood my context.
