Our audio shop has closed due to retirement and I would like to share our mod for the ADCOM GFA-555II power amplifier. I hope that this will help some of you who would like a little better sound quality but the mod will improve clarity first and foremost.
Hope you're around... I'm trying to cope with the usual 9 o'clock (but also 8 or 7:30) issue of my volume knob.
I love to have highish signal values from pre to my 555MkII. Referring to posted attachments, was wondering if substantially reducing the value of R105 (825Ohm) would sort the effect of reducing small signal gain without adverse side-effects on bandwidth or stability.
Any idea or suggestion would be welcome!
