Came with a projector Bendix ,cant find a 601 schematic and neither could somebody in 2011 BUT surprise -surprise its the same as a 179 SO---
Yes here is a guy with the renovation of one complete with colored pictures and looking at the original capacitors etc I know they are not good a LOT of work involved in replacements .

Your right at 6.3 volts thin heater wiring can heat up due to higher resistance ,I always used thick wire .
I can increase the magnification on my PDF app in my LInux distro but your right a bit indistinct you will be lucky to find another one online , it took me 15 minutes and a special search engine to find it.
