Hi.
Wrongly posted in components. So here it is. thanks to garrbage to point me in corect section.
I am currently trying to put together a good DAC AMP and DSP system "all in one.. "
So here is my list of parts. I am quite a noob regarding diyAudio, but I know may stuff around systems and programming and stuff.
So here is the list.
- ALLO VOLT+D Dual Mono Class D Amplifier 2x TPA3118D2 2x60W 4 Ohm
- AUDIOPHONICS DAC I-Sabre ES9038Q2M KALI EDITION Raspberry Pi / I2S & SPDIF / PCM DSD
- KALI ALLO / AUDIOPHONICS ES9038Q2M GPIO Adapter
- MiniDSP 2x4 Balanced Audio Processor board 2 to 4 channel
Here is missing a good power supply, I was reading the forums, but I can't make head and tales from what I read.
So some options are the
Allo NIRVANA SMPS or Shanti, are there other better solution at the price point.
AND the most important thing here, where on the forums should I post something like this.
Or I would be better with RME ADI-2 DAC FS, this one has DSP,DAC
Thanks anyone for help.

Ned a little help with parts selection. AMP,DAC,DSP.. : diyaudio

I will delete your other thread. If a thread is in the wrong place then just report it and we can then take a look and move it 🙂
It seems you did a fair bit of research because all of these:
- ALLO VOLT+D Dual Mono Class D Amplifier 2x TPA3118D2 2x60W 4 Ohm
- AUDIOPHONICS DAC I-Sabre ES9038Q2M KALI EDITION Raspberry Pi / I2S & SPDIF / PCM DSD
- KALI ALLO / AUDIOPHONICS ES9038Q2M GPIO Adapter
- MiniDSP 2x4 Balanced Audio Processor board 2 to 4 channel
... are exceptional value for money. However, they are not DIY; they are ready-made products. Nevertheless, they will provide a very good sound on a budget.
The RME ADI-2 DAC FS seems like the great product as well; I personally like professional sound cards (I have few Roland cards), and that RME is quite close to their professional cards. It requires an external power supply, so you could build something nice and improve the sound substantially.
If you want to build something from scratch, then I recommend you visit the Pass forums and pick one of the First Watt clones. Sub-standard sources will be portrayed by First Watt clone amps for what they exactly are... so you will need to spend a fair amount of money to build a decent DAC, and then probably the same amount to upgrade it to be exceptional. That could be very expensive.
If you just want a great sound with no fuss, go with a Chord DAC. Pair it with First Watt Aleph J or MX2 / similar.... and enjoy. This will cost a lot, and at the same time provide great results without having to experiment (and waste the money & time).
So, in the end, this last option is the quickest, cheapest way to enjoy great sound.

What ever hardware you choose, I highly recommend to ensure it is compatible with Roon.
You want Roon.
You want a Firstwatt amp.
If you wanted an all in one Roon setup an Elac DS-S101-G can be purchased on amazon at bargain prices.
You could start with using the onboard dac which sounds really bloody nice, then use digital outputs if you want to upgrade the dac section.
If you must have dsp, then add the RME ADI 2 DAC FS. It has a 5 band parametric eq as well as some othe nice features.
I am not sure I like the minidsp, the more you start adding to your setup, the more bottle necks you are possibly creating and getting in the way of achieving a highly resolving and musically involving setup.
I haven’t used the MiniDsp but I have used the Behringer Digital Eq and I have gone away from using it.
Spend the most money you can afford on speakers and amp and minimise additional equipment that is used to fix problems, try and avoid these problems in the first place by getting the best you can afford.
