I'm building a dac that will have a tube output buffer. I want to make the tube output buffer optional - so I want to wire the output of the dac to a switch that will either pass the dac directly out to the rear RCA's or pass the signal to the tube buffer and then to the RCA's.
I'm thinking something like this will work, but I've never done this before so I thought I'd pitch it to the forum and see if someone had a better idea or could point out a problem with my plan.

You want to switch low-level signals with a silver rather than gold plated switch, which could lead to poor contact after a few months. Toggling the switch a couple of times will then solve it temporarily.
Yes, any 4PDT switch like that will work.
Buy the best quality you can find. Marcel says silver plated switch contacts as they are more reliable.

Actually, that's not what I meant, but in retrospect I see that I phrased it unclearly. It's perfectly clear when you literally translate it into Dutch, but in English it means the opposite of what I meant. The link in the opening post refers to a switch with silver-plated contacts and I meant to say that that may lead to poor contacts after a few months.

Yes, only noble metals (gold, platinum) are good for low-level (low-power, low-current) signals. Because silver despite of it doesn't oxidize - does make a sulphate surface film (bad conductor).
