Output devices for Borbely Millennium

You can use

2sk1058/2SJ 162 , 2sk134/135/176 2 sj50/55/56
Also 2sk1529/1530 And 2sj200/201

How may depends on how high your bias current is.

At a minimum 2 of each device for class AB output stage
4 or 5 of each device if you want high bias class A, he used 8 devices of the 1058/162 in one version for highest bias

Which Millenium the 100 watt or the 150 watt SE version?
The difference is the input stage cascode has second cascode and better VAS heatsinking in the SE version to get higher power

You need 389/109 or matched 170/74 jfet and 246/103 for input stage
VaS uses matched 170/74 jfet and 2013/313

Borbely's amps can also use 2SK405/2SJ115 (these are the early version of the 2SK1529-30/2SJ200-01)
Just remember that these are also discontinued, so you have to make sure that you are not using counterfeit devices if you get some.

I would venture to guess that since the 2SK1529-30/2SJ200-01 devices are better complements to each other than the lateral pairs and since they have higher transconductance at the currents of interest that they would be the better device. i think member EUVL aka Patrick has shown some P-N match test results of these devices - you can search for the data.

However, that makes the assumption that one can actually get reasonably matched sets of them even though they have also been discontinued for some years. The laterals are still easily available as new, known good devices from Exicon. I think they even sell selected VGS range parts now!

good luck,
