Remove Syncsource in Tannoy Super Red to improve sound?

I've been recommended to take Syncsource out to improve how SRM12X sound.

Is that a good idea at all, and how is it supposed to affect the monitor's sound?

I love them as they are, but quite curious if/how they can be further improved...

The syncsource is a circuit to make that the tweeter (the old pepperpot tweeter) is in phase with the woofer. Removing it will make that the 2 drivers of the dual concentric are out of phase and willl cause distortion in the sound. So i would not do it. Some people modify it with better components, but how that is done i don't know.

This is how it looks like, if I'm not wrong.

Makes a lot of sense. However I do hear recommendations saying removing the circuit would make them sound better.
