Just heard. Old enough to remember when "Tutti Fruitti" and "Good Golly" were playing on the radio of our 1954 Plymouth station wagon:
Little Richard, Rock Pioneer Who Broke Musical Barriers, Dead at 87 - Rolling Stone

What a loss. To me, he was the true king of rock and roll. Everyone that followed him borrowed much. The world was made better by getting just one Little Richard. RIP.
It's a shame to read that he's gone, but he's in a better place now. I know that in the third floor of my house, where my old bedroom once was, I have an original "Here's Little Richard" album that I bought in the late fifties when I was a teenager.
As an "old guy " the 50,s was my era -LOVED all those American Rock +Roll singers .
Yes Little Richard was up there at the top --very sad as one by one they disappear.
I have a large collection of original (UK ) LP,s with all my favorites -Buddy Holly-Eddie Cochran -Gene Vincent -etc-etc.
Long live rock ( the original -REAL rock ) .
