Hello
I just salvaged this IC and tried making this circuit :
TDA7297 Audio IC - Electronic Circuits, TV Schematics, Audio
However only output 2+ (pin 15) works and the sound is very very low, very distorted. Is the IC dead or did I make a mistake somewhere, is there a way to test the IC ?
Current is about 0.1A. Signal ground and Power ground is connected.
Thanks

Try the datasheet schematics.
Bear in mind the speakers connect between 1-2 and 14-15.
They don't connect to ground since it has bridged outputs.

From the datasheets, note that the standby and mute control pins need to be biased correctly to get the chip to work properly when it isn't connected to a microprocessor, as designed. See the low cost, stand-alone application circuit, fig 3 here:https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/tda7297.pdf
It works now, I did try that schematic before but it didn't work.
After connecting the schematic for the 4-th time it works , I have no idea what was the problem , probably didn't connect everything correctly haha
Thanks for the suggestions
