Hi everybody, in last few weeks I’m hearing a strange ticking from inside of the amp. It happens after about an hour of use and continues after the unit is off for 20 minutes. It’s quite regular every 30 seconds, not very loud, but without music it’s easily audible.
Music is played normally without distortion or noises. Do you have any suggestions ? It’s seams a relay but everything works fine til now.
Thanks for your help

This sounds like thermal expansion and a bolt that's not tight enough, allowing periodic movement - when off the thermal contraction explains the continuation... So I'd suspect a bolt on one of the heatsinks perhaps.

My first thought is about one of the two soft start relays, the one that shorts the power resistors. I would investigate if the relay really activates every 30s and then will think about the reason. The sound of the amp may appear almost normal even if the power passes through a 3ohm resistor. Just an idea.
After I turn my soldering iron off it can tick for several minutes afterwards.
So I would suspect something expanding/contracting.

I ‘ve checked inside for loosened bolt or something similar, but nothing to tight.
It seems to come from the power supply section that is boxed in the meddle of the amp.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
