Kenwood X450-4 remote turn-on circuit.

Turns out I'm still a complete bonehead.

I lost my +12 battery connection while I was bench testing and now the amp doesn't turn on, power LED glows very dimly.

My guess is I popped something in the turn-on circuit. Does anyone have a schematic for this amp or one similar? (PS gate drive is a volt-ish DC, should have checked the reading before tearing it down)

Live and learn, that's why I'm working on these cheap amps.

Thanks in advance gents. Worst case scenario I just buy the service manual for a one-off repair.

OK here's another question.

My meter is reading the diode as open. I get a little blip as soon as I probe it and goes right back to OL.

Is it possible it's passing just enough current to mess with the turn-on circuit but not enough to power it completely?

Thank you, Perry. I compared 5 or 6 different different schematics (both from your site and in other databases) to the amp and couldn't figure out what was wrong.

I ended up pulling the PS FETs to explore things further (see if I could reduce the current draw,) gate drive signal looked good and it was turning on correctly now. That's when I realized my mistake, I didn't have the audio input board connected correctly.

TL;DR I'm a moron who likes making things hard on myself.

I expect I'll have more questions with this amp as I explore a supposed issue with the output section. Can I edit the title of this thread or would a new thread be more correct?

Thank you for being so helpful and patient with me as I learn.
