This amp came in with blown rectifier (U1620G). I installed a new one and the amp powers up and produces 70 volts rail and send clean DC to the output section but this power supply drive looks horrible.
Is this normal for these amps? It doesn’t look good to me. It looks like this all the way into the rectifiers but the rectifiers clean it up to straight DC. I’m wondering if this dirty looking power is putting undue stress on the rectifiers. If so, what could be causing this?

Did it change pulse width smoothly like a conventional power supply or in a series of jumps in pulse width?
The older Brazilian amps had a soft start that had about 5 or 6 different pulse widths to full. I was wondering if the programming on these was more refined.
