Hi, apparently tad had used 2002 in pioneer exclusive s5, and these do not have the familiar TAD label on the back.
Is this correct, and is there a sonic difference between the two?

Those are older speakers that predate the introduction of the TD-2002 compression driver, so the driver in them is probably the same as the TD-2001.
