Restored Magnepan MG3.5R

For Sale:

Restored Magnepan MG3.5r. Perfect condition - Cherry rails and Black Socks.

Bass and Mid Voicecoils reglued with Magnepan supplied 3M N30 Glue, ready to rock another 30 years. Tweeters are also perfect and have the Tweeter protectors. The Crossovers have been rebuilt with good quality components.

Pickup in West sub of Chicago...

Need to sell to finance the next restoration project - a set of Quad ESL-63.

Indeed they are, and the speakers are darned nice looking too:cheerful:.
I started collecting cigar boxes as I could find them, but not being a smoker has its drawbacks.






But, on serious note, would love to get my hands on a decent mid-sized set one day. Many years ago a friend had a MG 1.b set that sounded pretty darnned decent, despite their limitations. He had a mini-crescendo power amp driving them, if I recall correctly. We built a sub-base to go with them.

By the way, if anyone out there does partake in the smoking of cigars, the El Rey Del Mundo (King of the World) Robusto Larga are freaking awesome cigars, and cheap at under $5 a stick.

And they make fine crossover boxes...

I just love these speakers, and they compare very favorably to the nearly identical looking Cherry Railed / Black Socked MG20.1 I had a few years ago (over 4x the cost of the MG3.5r).
