Hello to all,
Anybody out there that had contact with the UESUGI tube amps from Japan?
Some of the products:
UESUGI 製品一覧 ウエスギ/上杉研究所
You can find others on same japanese audio stores only, I did not understood if this are vintage amps, or still in production, not found consistent infos... almost no info in english, for what I found, they are "were" supplied as kits or assembled... appears to be very popular in Japan
The looks is somehow vintage, but you find a lot of images of then, where it's clearly new units.. very clean....
They don't have an official website neither..
Appreciate very much more infos about UESUGI amps.
Many thanks, best regards.

The amps look good, but who knows what is underneath. A number of SE 300B mono amps & an SE EL34 strero that should be suitable for the FE208we∑ you plan on getting.

Are you sure that there's a relation between Otomon Laboratory and Uesugi amps? besides the name? by the way, I spoke with Ken from Otomon via e-mail, very nice guy, can do very interesting jobs, customized amps according to what you want, flexible prices, a lot of parts options, nice variety of equipments to sell too....

I posted this today at Audiogon (https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/otomon-labs-soundgate-japan):
I also am a VERY satisfied customer of Ken Uesugi. I have purchased a fully custom pair of 300B monoblocks (C3g -> 71A -> 300B driven, interstage transformer) that are 101% stunning in every sonic regard, and visually off of the charts. I requested certain topology and spec, paid the down payment and didn't bother him after he commenced work. He quoted 90 days, designed, built and completed them in almost exactly that time and shipped them UPS Air in which they arrived at my door OVERNIGHT! While waiting for the amplifiers I modified my rack and cables to suit them when they arrived and also bought a stock of a few main and backup tubes (fingers-crossed - only one 71A failure so far!).
Truly amplifiers that I will never part with. These may or may not be better or worse than anything else out there, but let me put it this way: I have zero want or desire to ever replace these as my main piece in any system I will ever have. These will go to my daughter as heirloom pieces after I pass and are absolute treasures.
