Could you explain what you mean by butchered? The pieces have not been altered while in my possession.

There is a nylon centring bush missing from the lower half of the platter bearing

The air bearing will simply not work and will need machining to get a center stub to accept the upper section
Flip over the other piece to understand this requirement
I do own this same Maplenoll air bearing BTW

Thanks for the clarification. The center bushing and stub may have stayed with the turntable when it was upgraded with a new bearing to handle a heavier platter.
If I still have these pieces at the time of Burning Amp 2019 I'll probably bring them to sell or swap there. If you are planning to attend, you could inspect the pieces there in-person. If you are not planning to attend you could possibly have someone else who is attending inspect them for you.
Thanks,
Gary

Happy New Year,
1st post and it's a long shot but is your Maplenoll platter still available, Gary?
Looking to upgrade a clean Athena w/ heavier platter and tonearm damping system.
Thanks!
Mike
