Hi

I presently own a IcePower 300AS1/300A1 stereo amp. I really enjoy it but can’t stop wondering if the sound of the IceEdge is better than the IcePower 300 series.

Are these IceEdge available yet and to who ?

100W @ 4 ohm is more than enough for my needs, I believe I read they have a 1200 W available (way too pricey to simply satisfy my curiosity)

I have not found any other IceEdge based amps besides the 1200AS2 and those are only available to OEMs.

Hi guys

I received an email from Icepower today;

Stereo 300W, 400W or 1500W all based on their latest IceEdge technology has been lunched.

Thinking of ordering one, anybody has heard the IceEdge sound ?

IceEdge was previously only offered on their 1200W unit...

Looks very interesting. If you spot some for sale I'd be very interested in a pair of the 300A2 amps (or even the 400s). Have some PSUs in the drawer that could easily be used here 🙂

I have the xtz A2-300 that uses the 300AS1/300A1 modules and I also have a nc400 amp from audiophonics.
The ncore amp is much better in every aspect, the ice modules doesn't even come close.

I also have these same modules and don’t find much difference...we all hear differently.

The 300AS1/300A1 you are referring to is based on their older technology, not the IceEdge.

The 300A2 is based on the IceEdge ��

If you can't hear the difference between those two amps, save your money and keep what you have, the new ice edge modules won't be an upgrade for you.

What speakers do you have?
