They measure so well, they have so many possible endings and adjusted prices that they are an ideal purchase for those who live in NA.
I love speakers with BIG dispersion.
Diyers (audiophile) can try to change the yellow caps and cables? Nothing more.

My tweaked and modded KEF Q100 5.25 coaxial speakers have these caps. Bypass with a cheap styroflex (polystyrene) cap the sound from tweeter is/was better.

I don't know if he could have wrote anything more about that loudspeakers that shows his excitement more accurately. These speakers obviously deserve it 🙂

Those are massively impressive. That degree of polar smoothness... jeebus! In a bigger room, a pair of these with some subs would be amazing. In a smaller room, esp. one with narrow sidewalls, probably not the best choice.
I recall Charlie posting results that the midrange had serious reliability problems (he bought a batch). Hopefully he just received a bum batch and Dennis has been able to avoid the issue.
Interesting that the very top end is tilted up a not unsubstantial +2 dB at 10 kHz (where dome designs often progress the other way to avoid brightness), despite the significant horizontal off axis dispersion. Perhaps it was to compensate for the limited vertical dispersion? I had to do something similar with a D26NC55 that has very limited upper off axis response. Or maybe just to add some false but flattering air?

Feel free to report the thread to mods if you feel so.
If there is thread here about B&O Beolab 90 i don't see what's problem with commenting this little gem.

I built Dennis Murphy's MBOW-1 back in the day, and a pair of Ellis Audio 1801-B, for which he designed the crossover. Even his old designs sound fantastic. I'd love to hear his new designs.
Hello all, I'm finally getting around to doing a build. I was planning on an Ellis 1801b with my father but cancer negated that and he passed away before we ever had the change. As such I'm going to to do it alone. I spoke to David Ellis and received some good ideas. Does anyone have the 1801b dennis murphy x-over scchematic and/or 1801b build diagram. I'm going to change up some a tad but want to no longer put this project on the backburner. Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers!
