All service manuals I find are the versions V1.0 and V1.1.
Both versions uses the UPC2581V-S for IC601 (front-end for power amp unit) - go to

The outline and pin configuration is different, thus the location parts on the PCB.
On the main board (component side) I read follow letters:
SONY > PF-LP< MAIN (STK)
Maybe one of the members can send me the URL for download the wanted manual or at least the right version, for the STK equipping (maybe v1.2 or v2.0)

Actually not so strange !
My STR-DE185 serialno.: 5527136 is also made with a STK350-030 driver-IC.
The front display shows "Protect" because one channel is sending -40VDC to the speakers.
The output transistors in that channel are fine so the problem most likely is a defective driver-IC.
It would however be nice to check fully before ordering a new chip.

Check the service manual STR-DE197 ver, 1.2 2006 .02
This contains the use of STK350-030 in the diagram and layout.
My STR-DE185 suffers from a weakening left channel output , suspect dried out capacitors around the hot STK.
Will try by replacing these capacitors.
