Well , everything explained and shown in technical thread :
Iron Pumpkin(s) and other smaller vegetable animals , but be aware that latest and final iteration of electronic part of package (main difference being JFet buffer instead of Diamond ) is shown in Iron Pumpkin(s) and other smaller vegetable animals, Tips 'n' Tricks thread
on sale are several options :
1. Iron Pumpkin SE (yup , that one being for RCA inputs/outputs) ,consisting of :
-Iron Turtle SE AVC , as assembled and tested unit (two irons on one common pcb ), rotary switch ,50cm flat cable finished, necessary stand-offs

considering prices from other vendors of AVC thingies , I believe this is pretty good bang for the buck
shipping time from 1 to 4 weeks ......... sometimes things need to flow from Germany or China ......
and yes case/chassis needed : regular width , minimum 3HE ........ even if , with some care , it can be squeezed in proper 2HE case
in both cases 350mm deep case is good to have , from various reasons ..... one of them being - necessary distance between small Donut to rest of preamp

I know I will want two of the boards when you get them ready.
Is that shunt resistor really the input impedance?
Could it be made higher?

everything is pretty much (already) ready
I'm not gettin' question regarding shunt/input impedance ?
in any case , best to keep technical and commercial separated ..... so we can chat in tech. thread : Iron Pumpkin(s) and other smaller vegetable animals

Hi ZM,
I just finishedmy first amp, an Aleph J, and WOW she sings! But now I'm thinking I'd love to drive her with an Iron Pumpkin. Will the kits still be available at the end of August? That's when I'll be able to afford a kit. And will you be offering those sweet lloking faceplates with the kit?
Jeffrey
One more question. If I get a balanced kit do i have to use balanced inputs only or can I mx balanced and unbalanced inputs?

After reading the cook book, I am perfectly entertained and hungry.
Hungry for a balanced iron pumpkin with remote control.
You can do it ZM!

dunno, max 50 bucks, from top of my head
not counting case, connectors and small donuts
funny, there are really not plenty of parts

I know you specifically asked about SE, however I'll share that my balanced Iron Pumpkin is in a custom Modushop chassis (based on Slimeline 3U/350) and measures in at 17.75" wide x 14" deep x 5" tall. I really like the extra room for the build as anything less would be a darn tight fit.
I have it set up with 2 balanced inputs and 3 SE inputs, and of course 1 balanced pair output and one SE pair output. I think the balanced Iron Pumpkin is the way to go due to its flexibility.

Define what the AVC is.Iron Turtle SE AVC
I assume it is these items and the associated PCB
Autoformer Volume ControlDefine what the AVC is.
I believe ZenMod winds his own and supplies that with the kit.
Best,
Anand.
Define what the AVC is.
Everything is explained in 2 Iron Pumpkin threads, you already attended
Feel free to ask any specific question in any of these
