Can anyone help? I started to build this project in 1994 from Elektor magazine articles in the January 1991 and I assume February 1991 issues. Life took over and I put the project on hold. Since then I have mislaid or thrown out the magazines and would like to resurrect the project. Would anyone have the articles? They were written by T. Giffard. Many thanks.
Hi sith,
Thanks for replying. Yes its old. Did you made it?
I am tying to replicate it in KeyCAD. Both the Bus & Mother board PCBs are double sided, a rare thing perhaps in those days. The articals show the Mother board Bottom tracks but not the top one. I am a bit confused about the connection to ground plane on top. Can you help?

Thanks ...have those already. Its the top layer motherbord board layout needed to check where the common gorund connection are terminated for the indivisual sections namely tone/volume, headphone, phono MD and I/O pins.Board files.

Thanks HalFoster,
I have the articals so this is included. The Mother board PCB has a Top Layer copper plane which seems to be main ground. But from the attached picture, it seems it is not connected to ground points at bottom on all locations.
The Best solution is a high res. scan of Mainboard top and bottom PCB Track.

After going through all the details, my personnel conclusion is that this project in not worth for working on any more. A few builders who might have fallen for it are probably enjoying new and improved design outcomes.
For me it was just a fun project to improve keycad skills.
RIP dear old 'complete preamplifier'.

Not sure it applies here (guess it does) but often Elector only published component side of PCBs, enough for assembly, but forcing you to buy them from their PCB shop.
Can´t blame them, their projects were always complex and very high quality, not sure magazine sales alone compensated all the effort so money must come from somewhere.
I HAVE self designed missing side a few times, out of desperation and distance (Argentina) , but granted it´s not easy or quick.
