Hi Dan,
i have never seen services manuals for CD-drives before -but i have just found out that dutchaudioclassics.nl actually sells them. Unfortunately there is a gap between CDM3 and CDM9....
Try a search for "MKH310" (a cd-player unit that was made by Philips) on freeservicemanuals.info. Maybe the information you are looking for can be found in that SM.
According to the 2-pin-connector for the spindle motor the MKH310 has a CDM4/19. CDM4/11 and CDM4/25 were the superior versions with a brushless motor. So if you're looking for imformation about the spindle motor you will have to try to find a service manual for a player based on one of those (a huge list of CDP with Philips drives can be found here).
regards
Marso

REVOX B126 servo board same as for CDM-4/25 in my Micromega SOLO from first series (version according sticker in both cd players "6105") but nevertheless any important differences between CDM-4/27 and CDM-4/25.
