I have read on the website of German's distributor TAD, that this model is out of production - go to
Fane AXA Studio 12L 12" 200W 8 Ohm - Axiom Tube Amp Doctor Onlineshop
BTW - this isn't mentioned on the website from Fane Acoustics - go to
Fane International Ltd Loud Speakers
Who know the successor?
Thanks for advices.

Interesting driver.
In the datasheet it says
But the same datasheet also says
How about this, a 'collectors item' ? FANE STUIDO 12L 😛 😀

In the datasheet it says
which is good. This speaker is neutral sounding and uncoloured across the spectrum.
But the same datasheet also says
Not sure what I should be thinking about this driver...Transform your tone and reach metal Armageddon!

Not sure what I should be thinking about this driver...
Almost exactly what it says: It has a neutral tone and can take a lot of abuse at all frequencies.
It does make sense when you realise that it is a guitar speaker with no pretense to be HiFi by any stretch. Although it is confusingly named.
by compare the frequency response of follow both drivers result for me is, that Precision Devices' PD121 is a good replacement:
http://www.fane-international.com/downloads/Fane AXA STUDIO 12L Data Sheet.pdf
PD.121
I need the 16 ohm version (4 pcs.).
The main difference to the PD121 are present at Mms (65 gr instead 32 gr) and VAS (66 liters instead 121 liters)
According the websites from manufacturers both drivers are available in 16 ohms. Only according the German distributors both the AXA Studio 12L and the 16 ohm version of PD121 is out of production (PD121 only available in 8 ohms). An email to Fane and Precision Devices concerning this questions unfortunately remain unanswered because I don't receive their replies.
My spoken English is too bad for calling. Maybe one of the member can calling there for me and ask this question concerning availability in 16 ohm for both models. Thank you very much.
Here the telephone numbers from Fane and Precision Devices (both companies have same address):

You might have to order it from France:
Precision Devices PD.121 (16Ohm)
It is listed on the Precision Devices site as available in 4, 8 and 16Ohm so any distributor should be able to get it.

Please note: This is no typical guitar speaker resp. an instrumental speaker. In the genuine FANE flyer, which I have of the studio series, I read follow:
"Outstanding as lower mid-range driver in large stage and concert systems - bass-mid use in mid-sized two way tuned reflex cabinets so as vocal for public address, cabaret and club. Additional lead guitar use for clean and uncoloured sound"
Which means, this is a driver for a wide range of applications (general purpose). While second introducing from FANE several years ago which speaker was named as guitar speaker (sorted under the AXA series) and therefore hard to find on their website for user's which don't look particularly for guitar speakers. In the meantime I have got contact to Mr. Daniel Barnes from FANE acoustics.

I am looking for the model number of the coaxial version of FANE's Studio 12B resp. 12L. It looks similar to this version from ALTEC:
Altec Lansing Duplex - Wikiwand
The main feature was the kind of the integrated tweeter horn; it was a multicellular version like this one:
Pioneer Multicellular Horn Tweeter Pair Model PT-405F-6 | #290420891
Who know this ?
And an other question:
Are there recone kits for the Studio 12L and Studio 12B available ?
Thanks for advices.
Here the datasheet of PD121 and FANE's AXA Studio12L because the URL's from post #5 are death.

Alternative zu einem alten Fane 12l studio 200 watt | Musiker-Board
I read follow:
Turbosound verbaute in den TMW212 Monitoren am Anfang die Fane Studio,
später dann PD-Treiber, die dem PD121 in ihren Specs sehr nahe kamen. Ich habe bei einem meiner TMW die originalen (FANE Studio 12) leider
tauschen müssen, und bin mit den PD121 sehr zufrieden, denn sie haben eben genau im Mittenbereich ein sehr homogenes Klangbild.
Translation:
Turbosound equipped their TMW212 monitors at the beginning with Fane's Studio 12 - and later series PD drivers, which are very close to the PD121 in their specs. I have the genuine FANE drivers replaced by the PD121 and I am very satisfied with it because this driver from Precision devices have a very homogeneous sound character particularly in the midrange.
According the attached images is this claim correct.

these look a bit like the goodmans audiomax12, although the goodmans is more efficient, one of the most efficient 12" speakers ever.
this from the attached images ?
