question about Black Pulsar power supply from THEL

Did anybody tried or tested that powersupply ?

I am looking to buy the best power supply to build a preamp.

That is a horrible example of a bad design. It is a constant current shunt regulated power supply. It is not very stable and produces excess heat.
I thought these sorts of regulators were obsolete back in 1960!
Forget the constant current supply, use a standard LM78** LM79** with plenty of HF decoupling. That is all that is required.

A shame with only one reply to this post, even if it is old. Thel makes some of the best PSU´s you can get, and a lot of knowledgeable people
find a current source followed by a shunt regulator the ultimate PSU.
