I started here several threads on which I was selling some transistors, so I decided to make one thread where I would say all about transistors what I am selling now…
So, during all those years, I have bought lot of genuine transistors for doing restorations on vintage audio, but today I really don’t have so much time to do this job, so I decided to sell some of my transistors collection…. As you probably knows, I already sold all genuine Toshiba MOS FET 2SK405 2SJ115, so I don’t have them any more…

SANKEN genuine transistors 2SA909 / 2SC1586
Those transistor you can find at output stage of Sansui AU20000 or BA3000 and at G9000, or at G22000 and G33000.
Here it is picture of output stage of G9000 Sansui receiver:
or the pictures of output stage of Sansui G22000 receiver (during my restoration job):
Today you can find so many fake TO3 Sanken transistors, because Sanken doesn't produce that type of transistors more than 20 years. Fake transistor can make so much troubles on yours vintage audio, because in the most cases, fake transistors doesnt have specifications like genuine Sanken transistors. Here you can see how it looks like a genuine Sanken 2SA909 transistor, one is pulled from Sansui G9000 receiver, and other is a new one
On those pictures above you can see how it look like the specific TO3 case what 2SA909 / 2SC1586 transistors have. On picture below is one important detail, how it looks like isolator between metal base of transistors and legs of Emiter and Base. It can be green color or white color, but always it is like on the picture below
On the next picture I am going to show you some other details how to recognize fake Sanken transistors:
Number one show you how it is different isolator between case and Emiter / Base legs (different size and color), plus number 2 show you different type of font than on font used on genuine Sanken.
The next pictures show you what is different when you open transistor case, look how different size of semiconductor is between fake and genuine transistor!
On picture below is example for transistor 2SC1116 (the right transistor is genuine Sanken)
Now I am going to show you pictures of my transistors what I am selling here:
2SA909
2SC1586 (still in the original Yamaha packing)
The price is 11 EUR per piece. For 8 pieces (or 4 pairs) and more, please ask me on PM for price.

SANKEN genuine transistors 2SA1116 / 2SC2607
Sanken 2SA1116 / 2SC2607 TO3 transistors you can find in the newer Sansui audio products like on G9700 receiver or as substitute for NMA /NMC custom Sanken made for Sansui (like NMA1012 NMC1012 or like NMA1216 NMC1216).
Those NMA - NMC combination you can find at Sansui AU919 or AU819 or BA-F1 and 2SA1116 / 2SC2607 are perfect substitution for them, please take a look to the next picture scanned from Sansui Service Manual
Now I am going to show you those Sanken 2SA1116 / 2SC2607 what I have for sale...
but here I wish to say you something... 2SA1116 I have two types:
on the top and side view you dont see any differences, but bottom view:
... the both are genuine Sanken, just different date of production... I have Sansui G9700 receiver which has those 2SA1116 / 2SC2607 at output stage, and please look at the picture
and the same transistors pulled out
And finally the bottom view
so... you see it is the same as I have as NOS... just only it is early Sanken production.

Only 8 pairs left of 2SA909/2SC1586 transistors. 2SA1116 / 2SC2607 and 2SA1117 / 2SC2608 I still have enough.
I sold those 2SC1586 in original Yamaha bags but I still have some genuine Sanken 2SC1586, also NOS. But after they gone, that is all... so dont wait...

Hi Zeljko,
Alot of great information, thanks for posting it. Its been a while since we've been in touch. I have a problem with my G-9000 and may need some transistors for it. Private message me and I'll explain in more detail, or better yet- email me, if you still have my email address. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

One update...
I have found that I still have 8 pcs of Sanken 2sc2607 and 6 pcs of Sanken 2sa1116, NOS, never used...

Dear Zjelko,
do you know the application for the 2SA1117 and the 2SC2608? I have these in my Sansui AU X1 in stead of the original 2SA1608 and 2SC2493 and i am wondering wether i can keep them or replace them with a more suitable type.
Do you (still) have 2SA1117, 2SC2608, 2SA1608 or 2SC2493?
regards,
Harold

Hi Harold,
If yours 2SA1117 2SC2608 combination is really genuine Sanken, my answer is YES, you can keep them in yours AUX1.
As you can see, Sanken combination 2SA116 2SC2607 is recommended by Sansui as replacement for NMA NMC high speed output TO3 transistors,
and 2SA1117 2SC2608 are the same as 2SA116 2SC2607, just 2SA1117 2SC2608 has Ic higher (17A instead 15A for 2SA116 2SC2607)
I have some NOS 2SA1068N & SC2493N, but they are not cheap, for more info please sen me a PM.
But, I would repeat, if yours transistors are genuine Sanken 2SA1117 2SC2608, I suggest you to keep them.

If you are interested please write to me on PM.
Thank you!
If i buy 4 pair, can you free shipping to Ha Noi, Vietnam?
Because those transistors are very rare today, and because there are so many fake transistors on the market, and finally because I dont have it so much left, sorry, I cant give you any kind of discount.
