Has anyone tried this new series? It is supposed to replace the FM series as I know. They seem well priced and have greater endurance.
I would like to use them as reservoir caps in regulator designs.

I use them alot in my PSUs.
Reasonabely priced and good cap. Used to take FC/FM series before, now i'm using only FR

Good Cap for PSU.
I'm using only FR now (FC before)
Take care of a bit lower ESR than FC/FM series

Thanks! Why take care of the lower esr? It is actually a useful plus, do you mean if I will use them for drop-in replacements? Because I will not.
I too have switched from FC to FR. I use them exclusively in electrolytic applications that they have values for.
Why take care of the lower esr?
Because some voltage regulators need some esr for stability if you use such a capacitor from regulator output to ground.

Thanks for the answer, but I am already quite aware of that. 🙂
I asked since I particularly said that I will use them as reservoirs, where ESR usually needs to be low for low losses.
New arrived Panasonic FR (Made in Malaysia) - Fake or new outline ???
Some days ago I have ordered some electrolytic caps from Panasonic's FR series - go to
http://docs-europe.electrocomponents.com/webdocs/154d/0900766b8154d315.pdf
Today I receive this capacitors - unfortunately the outline looks like this:
EEUFR1H471 | Panasonic FR, THT Alu Kondensator, Elko radial 470μF +-20%, 50 V dc, O 12,5mm, –40 → +105 degC | Panasonic
I don't find the usually used and good known "M" logo as you can see here:

and here:

Maybe one of the members know, whether this are fakes or not - thank you for your advices.
Additional I want to know the associated email address to this website:
