hi everyone. i have a ep2500 that im repairing. the output transistors are shorted.anything else i should on this amp? any common issues?..thanks!!!
Check final output op amps for DC.
Should be none. Usually if outputs short it will carry the final op amp.
Also physically remove the bias pots and check them for open.
The OTA op amps were OK in mine.
When I rebuilt mine I found that 13 ohms is the perfect setting for the bias pots (so I installed fixed resistors).
The factory pots are really crappy.
