Hemp Acoustics?

Hemp Acoustics is long gone, but certainly not forgotten. After the owner, Perry Pecker (No Kidding!), stiffed a bunch of people by keeping the money and never delivering product, he disappeared. We're talking about big orders, not a (one pair) diy guy.
I personally know several people that would love to see him again.

Best Regards,

Ok I just have to insert a couple of pictures of my setup. They actually trashes my former Oris Horns Ultra with AER md3 on many points.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I had this setup before.

Now it looks almost like this...

BTW: Sorry if this is a bit OT but I don't think so.
I have hears alot about Perry and when I actually posted on diyaudio that I hac a couple of co15v drivers in my basement he sent me an email with advice and seemed like an ok person.

Something of an OT rant.

Considering that Dan Wiggins was responsible for the design and a speaker mfg in Minnesota was responsible for their manufacture, I suspect they might be resurrected, if enough folks cared. The only sticking point would be the hemp & other fiber matrix used for the cones. I don't know where that cone materials tussle ended up.

I do hear from Perry upon occasion. He is still providing a home for wife and child, or perhaps children by now. As for folks "wanting to find him" my take was that you just must provide the ground rules up front with Perry. Ask him to warn you when, not if, he becomes uncomfortable with the return on his efforts and have an exit strategy available, with fall back positions for both sides. Perry is an incredibly good salesman, but is as volatile as any of that breed.

Not about to get into a personality tussle about someone who isn't around to defend himself, but my dealings with the man have all been satisfactory, because I followed the above rules. These are not different from the rules I follow with other sales professionals either.

You have to keep in mind that salesmen are only paid when product ships. If there are teething problems, and when aren't there with new products, the salesman is left without ANY financial support and kids and wives and food and homes and cars and shows and travel, all come out of the salesman's pocket, up front.

These are the rules I followed with Ground Control. I am very happy with the results.

Yes I have.
A really good one. After 6 months of trial and error I finally think "i've got it" 🙂

2' order for the tweeter. 1' order for the woofer. I don't have the values in my head right now but will post schematic later.

1.5mH foil inductor
0.82 foil inductor
6.8uf mundorf supreme silver oil cap
8.2mH inductor (for BSC)
and 3 resistors I don't remember the values on...

These are the components that I use...

I will post schematic later.

Sincerely

Hemp/Radian

Thanks so much Bambadoo!
I've tried many crossovers passive and active and the only one I've had luck with was the Symmetry ACS-1, BUT IT TOOK A DUMP! The manufacture blacked out the J-fet's and finding the schematic is impossible. The designer say's he doesn't have one anymore .I'm using the Radian/ Hemp in a Custom Tannoy Autograph inclosure.Have you tried any active?

How do you attach pictures?

I have not tried active XO with this setup but I am sure it may work out fine.

To attach pictures I guess there are two possibilities.
1. Upload direct a picture stored on your computer with the "attach" symbol when making a post.
2. Insert a link to a picture that are stored on a different webserver.
Just use the expression in the post.
