Never heard it , but Micro Seiki usually does a good job with there stuff and it does not appear to be the same as the phillips (eg shield around TF )....

I heard this CD player when it was available (1990?). At this yesterday time it was one of the most CD player. Schematic is Marantz CD 94 with balanced Micro Seiki output.Who have heard this compact disc player?...
Mechanical part is woooonnnderfuuuuul. I never see better chassis box. It is today a collector piece very rare and always sold at high price.
Compared to a modern CD player, the schematic and sound are a bit old. Modern high-end CD player works well. The Marantz CD schematic was not designed to eliminate jitter 🙁
The Micro Seiki CD MII is equivalent as a Stradivarius.
Is it your CD player?

No. I have find it by chance on the web (I have stored first as unknown model because only a low resolution front view pic was available).
Later I find out the exact model No by searching a certainly record player model from Micro Seiki about "Audio Heritage".
But I get several times the CD94/CD960 for repair service (same excellent mechanism - I think (like you) one of the best with loader; only top loader mechanism like Micromega, Krell or CEC/Sanyo are even better).
Repair/service advices you will find there:

Micro Seiki CDM2 repair
Hi folks, seen this thread recently - I own such a wonderful Micro Seiki CDM2 made in 1988 but it is not working properly anymore. Replaced the transport rubber bolts last year but now the laser doesn't start to read the disc. I am in search of service documents because nobody wants to investigate w/o wire plans. Any ideas?
Thanks, Frank

The CDM-2 is a beautiful sounding player.
This player loves classical music, but of course plays all other kind of music.
Equal sound quality to my Marantz CD12/DA12 or CD95DR/DA12.
Equal to my CAL Tempest2 (TDA1541).
Much better than my Marantz CD94Mk1 or CD95DR/CDA94 or CAL Aria2.
Get one if you have the chance.
